Protective Uniform for Wildfires
Each year, kilometers of forest are ravaged by fire. Although wildfires are a key element in the forest life cycle, they can quickly become destructive, requiring the intervention of firefighters, volunteer firefighters, and other support personnel.
To face these blazes, responders must rely on lightweight, high-performance fabrics that can protect them from the many dangers of wildfires. So, if the wind shifts or a firefighter is trapped by a wall of flames, they can still carry on thanks to their wildfire protective uniform.
Most regions have adopted the inherently flame-resistant Nomex® IIIA fabric, but other materials that meet the Canadian standard CAN/CGSB 155.22 are also available.
In times of crisis, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic or the intense wildfires of summer 2023, having a local production partner makes all the difference.
