Louis Hébert is a Quebec-based company specializing in the manufacturing of clothing, custom uniforms, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Our story began in 1966 and continues to this day, after nearly 60 years of existence. Our years of experience enable us to stay constantly attuned to the latest available technologies and changes within each industry. This allows us to continually adapt our offerings and develop products tailored to both the realities of workers and the various standards guiding each industry.
To date, we create clothing for workers in the electricity, welding, oil and gas, industrial, and mining sectors; we also manufacture workwear for employees in the food industry, healthcare sector, and road signage field.

From foundation to innovation: the story of Louis Hebert
The company founded by Eugene Charest was born in 1966. At the time, it was called Les Ateliers Louis Hébert.
Six years later, in 1972, the company underwent a transformation thanks to the founder’s son, Denis. It then became a workwear manufacturer specializing in industrial laundry rental. This is when the company secured its first major client, propelling it to the rank of industry leader.
In 2006, Louis Hébert created an innovative new division focused on manufacturing garments that provide protection against electric arcs and flash fires.
In 2016, in addition to celebrating its 50th anniversary, the company innovated once again by introducing new textiles beneficial to the professional welding industry.
