PPE for the Oil and Gas Sector
Did you know that the oil and gas industries were the pioneers of industrial protection as we know it today?
The explosion of a flammable substance (e.g., gasoline, petroleum, or any other hazardous material) can generate a fire with temperatures reaching up to 800 degrees Celsius. This is just one of the many dangers workers in the oil and gas sector are exposed to. That’s why our garments comply with the Canadian standard CAN/CGSB 155.20.
To ensure the quality of our products, we subject our fabrics to rigorous lab testing to meet strict requirements, including:
- Flame extinction in less than 2 seconds after removal from the ignition source
- No melting
- No dripping
- No more than 40% second-degree burns on human skin in an incident lasting 3 seconds
